Bond Supervision

Pretrial Services monitors compliance and provides case management to assure that defendants released on personal bond report to court and successfully comply with all conditions of bond.

Reporting

All defendants released on personal bond are required to report to Pretrial Services Office of a condition of bond.

Misdemeanor Defendants are required to report to the Pretrial Services Office bi-weekly (every other week). In some instances the court will require misdemeanor defendants to report in person more often. Felony Defendants are required to report to the Pretrial Services Office in person weekly. In some instances, felony defendants are ordered by the court to report more often.

Failure to report to the Pretrial Services Office as required will result in the bond being revoked and a warrant issued for the defendant's arrest.

Conditions of Bond

In addition, regular conditions of bond for all defendants include:

  • Appear in court for all scheduled court settings
  • Notify the Pretrial Services Office prior to leaving the Midland area and ask for Travel permit
  • Notify the Pretrial Services Office to report a change of address or employment
  • Pay required bond fee
  • Remain arrest free pending disposition of current offense

Possible Additional Conditions

When appropriate or necessary, the court may order additional conditions of release which the defendant must comply. Other conditions of bonds may include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend alcoholism or drug treatment
  • Counseling
  • Curfew
  • Drug Testing
  • EPO
  • GPS
  • Ignition Interlock Device
  • SCRAM
