Project Literacy is a community collaboration between MCPL, the Midland County Public Library Foundation, Wells Fargo, Basin PBS, and the Midland Reporter-Telegram working to bring books and author visits to first grade MISD students. The author lineup varies every year and features school visits and book signings.
MCPL partners with the West Texas Food Bank to bring free lunches to the Downtown Library. These meals are free and open to children 18 and under in an effort to promote youth well-being and lifelong literacy.
